What is Daily Focus?
It is your tool for a daily moment of silence. It is like meditation, but simpler.
How do I create a moment of silence?
Simply find a comfortable position in a calm and quiet place, press the Start button, and the minute of silence is yours. You can adjust the duration and the sound atmosphere of the moment.
Why does the timer reset if I minimize the app?
We believe that a moment of silence should not be interrupted by other actions, messages, or browsing, because this minute is meant only for you.
How is my pattern created?
Each silence pattern is unique because it is generated by a complex algorithm based on several parameters recorded after your moment of silence. Each day of the week adds one layer to the pattern.
Can I change the style of the pattern?
In the future you will be able to switch between generation styles, but for now there is only one pattern algorithm available.
Does the pattern really “grow” for a whole week?
Yes, seven days of creating moments of silence will form a complete unique silence pattern. Creating moments every single day is not required — the pattern can also consist of fewer days. Only one moment of silence per day is used for the pattern — the last one. You can start the minute of silence several times a day and observe how the resulting pattern changes, but only the final session is saved.
What do the flashes on the world map mean?
Soon this map will display the real activity of people who are sharing a moment of silence with you right now. For now, they are simply decorative lights on the map.
What is the Silence Bank?
This is a global counter of all the minutes spent by users creating their moments of silence. How many minutes can we accumulate together?
Do I need to create an account?
Currently this feature is not available, and your use of the app is limited to a “one-time” anonymous authorization. You will lose your history and pattern collection if you delete the app from your smartphone.
Do you record audio or video?
We do not use the camera or microphone in order to keep the app simple and convenient. During the moment of silence we only use the smartphone motion sensor to enrich and diversify the generated silence pattern.
Can I use the app without internet access?
Yes. The core feature — creating a moment of silence with your chosen sound atmosphere — works offline. Access to global statistics, your history, and your pattern collection requires an internet connection.
Why are there ads in the app?
Advertising helps us keep the app completely free to use.
